§ Mr. Harold MacmillanThe firm concerned suffered from enemy action. When production started again the best use of the available machinery, material and labour could only be made by making new motor cycles as well as spares. The maximum proportion of spares possible in the circumstances is being produced. In answer to the second part of the Question, the new vehicles and spares sections of the Ministry of Supply are under the control of one Deputy Director General.
