Mr. David Adamsasked the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies when it is expected that wage ordinances will be established in Jamaica under the Minimum Wage Law, 1938; and the cause of the delay in so doing?
§ Mr. George HallThe question whether, or when, orders fixing minimum rates of wages should be made under the Jamaica Minimum Wage Law, 1938, is a matter for the decision of the Governor in Privy Council under the law. So far as I am aware, it is not at present proposed to make any such order.
