§ Mr. Marshallasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he is aware that a number of local government employés, who devote their whole working time to agriculture on farms owned by local authorities, are debarred from receiving the extra cheese ration; and will he devise some method to improve the identification of these workers in order to bring them within the scheme?
Major Lloyd GeorgeI appreciate that the existing method of identification leaves out certain agricultural workers, for instance, those who are employed by local authorities and who contribute to superannuation schemes. Ways for improving the identification are at present being considered, and due regard will be paid to the claims of such employés.
