§ Mr. Harold MacmillanThe question of a national broadcast appeal specifically for unwanted books and periodicals has been kept under review, but it is deemed preferable to aim at a more even flow of material by local appeals in one district after another. Accordingly, arrangements are being made for salvage drives or Paper Weeks on different dates in various districts, when special appeals will be made for unwanted books and magazines, as well as for other classes of waste paper.
