asked the Minister of Pensions how many of the 42,319 claims for injury allowances, up to 1st February, 1941, from Civil Defence volunteers and other civilians, were rejected; and whether he will give similar information regarding the 5,483 claims for pensions?

Of the 42,319 claims for injury allowance recorded up to 1st February, 1941, 3,438 were rejected and of the 5,483 claims for pension, 615 were rejected.
