§ Mr. R. C. Morrisonasked the Secretary of State for War whether a soldier kept in close detention for six weeks awaiting court-martial at which he was found not guilty and honourably acquitted is entitled to any compensation or extra leave?
§ Captain MargessonI am afraid that a soldier is not entitled to any compensation or extra leave in such circumstances, hut every effort is being made to avoid further cases of this kind by reducing to a minimum the period between arrest and court-martial.
