HL Deb 10 June 1941 vol 119 cc375-6WA
LORD RANKEILLOUR

asked His Majesty's Government whether it is proposed to introduce legislation in Palestine to provide cover against war damage to public utility undertakings.

LORD MOYNE

There is at present no proposal before His Majesty's Government for the introduction of legislation in Palestine to provide cover against war damage to public utility undertakings, and I do not think this question can usefully be considered in regard to any of the Colonies, Protectorates or Mandated Territories until the policy of His Majesty's Government in regard to the United Kingdom has been settled.

House adjourned.
