§ Mr. Isaacsasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he is aware that the Order which prohibits the supply of rationed goods to shopkeepers with less than 25 registered customers does, at the same time, deprive them of customers for other commodities; that, in the poor districts of London, it is a hardship not only upon the customer but also upon the shopkeepers, many of whom depend for their livelihood upon the supplying of small quantities of goods to people with very limited incomes, and will he reconsider this Order?

I have only to add that there is a keen demand for most types of unrationed food and I see no reason to suppose that that demand will be prejudiced by a withdrawal of rationed foods.
