§ Sir W. Jenkinsasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that there is an urgent demand to complete the Church village hospital; that priority was agreed by his Department more than six months ago; that the progress of supply is most unsatisfactory; and will he take immediate action, as many thousands of pounds are being wasted and the need is pressing?
§ Mr. E. BrownI am well aware of the importance of the completion of this hospital. I have secured all necessary priorities for the scheme, but it is held up by shortage of special labour in particular trades. I am assured that every-332W thing possible is being done by the Ministry of Labour and National" Service to alleviate this and to enable the work to go ahead more speedily.
