§ Mr. Oliverasked the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been drawn to the complaints of the shortage of cigarettes for men in the Army; and whether any steps are being taken to remedy this complaint?
§ Captain MargessonAs my hon. Friend is aware, the demand for cigarettes in the country as a whole exceeds the available supplies, and until the general position improves I can hold out no hope of an increase in the supplies at present available to the Army through the Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes.
