§ Mr. BevinThere are at present 32 Government training centres devoted to civilian training and this number is increasing. All these centres are continually taking in trainees as vacancies arise either through the placing of trained men in industry or through expanding resources, but recruits are at present wanted in greater numbers than those coming forward. A beginning has been made with the training of women in the Government training centres and this is an aspect of the work which I am developing.
