HC Deb 21 January 1941 vol 368 c34W
Mr. Culverwell

asked the Secretary for Petroleum whether he has taken any steps to augment petrol rations for private motor-cars in Bristol after enemy air-raids?

Mr. Lloyd

In accordance with standing instructions, the divisional petroleum officer at Bristol maintained close contact with the Regional Commissioner and has issued without delay such additional petrol allowances as were needed to meet emergencies.
