Major Braithwaiteasked the Under-Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs whether he has any statement to make on the Children's Overseas Reception Board Scheme for 1941?
§ Mr. ShakespeareAs announced in the Press on 3rd October, the Children's Overseas Reception Scheme was sus- 71W pended owing to the dangers to which passenger vessels were exposed. In present conditions it is obviously undesirable to resume the evacuation of children overseas, but, as soon as circumstances permit, a further statement will be made.
