§ Mr. Muffasked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware that persons have refused to attend for medical examination after proper registration for military service; and can he state the policy of His Majesty's Government in such cases?
§ Mr. Bevin:Proceedings are taken when appropriate in order to secure attendance before a medical board. Some difficulty has arisen in certain cases where men have refused to submit to a proper medical examination and I am considering whether the law needs strengthening in this connection.
