Major Lloyd GeorgeIt is necessary to provide a fair allocation of home-killed and imported meat to all areas in view of the different retail prices at which the two categories are sold; but this consideration is balanced against that of avoiding unnecessary transport. At the present time, there is little movement of stock or meat out of the North Wales counties but at other seasons the production of those counties would more than fill the ration. Export out of the area at such times is, therefore, necessary.
