HC Deb 04 February 1941 vol 368 cc809-10W
Sir H. Morris-Jones

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that various sums are now owing to Home Guard battalion commanders in the Western Command for works ordered to be carried out by the military; that these claims have been recognised and passed for payment but are being held up by the command paymaster; and will he expedite the matter?

Captain Margesson

I am making inquiries and will write to my hon. Friend as soon as possible. In the meantime, it would be helpful if my hon. Friend could give me details of any specific claims which have been brought to his notice.
