asked the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been called to the case of 4196372 Fusilier R. A. Williams, Royal Welsh Fusiliers, who has been detained under arrest on a charge of desertion since 30th October, 1941, first at Lymington police station and then at Brecon barracks; and whether his trial by court-martial will be expedited?

This soldier's case was summarily disposed of by his commanding officer on 25th November, and the period spent in custody was taken into account by the commanding officer in awarding punishment.
