HC Deb 04 December 1941 vol 376 c1282W
Captain York

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he will make arrangements to enable Members serving with the Armed Forces to use travel warrants, issued by the Fees Office, for journeys between their military stations in the United Kingdom and their constituencies, seeing that these travel warrants are already available for journeys between Members' military stations and London?

Captain Crookshank

The travel warrants issued by the Fees Office in respect of journeys between military stations and London are intended to be used for the purpose of enabling a Member to travel to London to attend Parliament. I am ready to arrange for warrants to be made available by the Fees Office for Members serving with the Armed Forces in respect of journeys between their military stations and their constituencies for which they obtain leave in order to attend to their Parliamentary duties. It would facilitate work in the Fees Office if Members would in such circumstances mark the warrant with the word "mobilised."
