HC Deb 04 December 1941 vol 376 cc1273-4W
Squadron-Leader Hulbert

asked the Home Secretary in how many cases have sentences of imprisonment been passed upon men for refusing to undergo medical examination when called upon to register for National Service?

Mr. H. Morrison

In reply to a Question by the hon. Member for Shettleston (Mr. McGovern) on 16th October I gave full particulars about the sentences of imprisonment passed for this offence up to that date. To extract from the records from time to time figures for particular periods imposes much labour on a depleted clerical staff and I hope the figures already published will serve the purpose of my hon. and gallant Friend.
