§ Mr. Quibellasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he is aware that few county councils endeavour to promote the cutting of grass verges by the public who may wish to obtain winter fodder; and whether he will take an early opportunity of getting them to do this?
Mr. HudsonI have no information as to the extent to which highway authorities have acted on the suggestions which I have made to them for allowing the use of roadside grass for the feeding of stock. I feel sure, however, that those authorities would raise no objection to anyone taking the grass for such purposes, unless other arrangements had already been made for its utilisation.
