Courthopeasked the Minister of Agriculture what steps he proposes to take to ensure that derelict or badly cultivated agricultural land, of which possession is taken under the Defence 2117W Regulations in connection with the food-production campaign, will not be allowed to revert to a neglected state after the war and that money spent by the State on the improvement of such land will be recovered?
Mr. HudsonThe Government realises the importance and desirability of achieving the objects to which my right hon. Friend refers. A Bill to provide the necessary powers will be introduced at an early date.
