§ Sir R. Gowerasked the Minister of Health whether, when a local authority repairs a house sufficiently to permit of its re-occupation, the tenant, who may have been billeted in the country, is expected to return under penalty of stoppage of his billeting allowance?
§ Mr. E. BrownWhen a bombed house has been rendered habitable the occupier and his family can no longer properly be regarded as homeless and are therefore no longer billetable as such. Where, however, the persons concerned are entitled to be evacuated under the Government Evacuation Scheme billeting notices are not withdrawn merely because the houses have been rendered habitable.
