HC Deb 02 April 1941 vol 370 cc1008-9W
Mr. Chater

asked the Secretary of State for Air whether he will improve the allowances for meals to drivers of Royal Air Force vehicles when having to seek accommodation before the completion of their journey, seeing that the rates now in force are inadequate to meet the cost of the necessary meals?

Captain Balfour

The information available in my Department does not suggest that the present allowances are inadequate. If, however, the hon. Member has any particular cases of hardship in mind and will give me particulars, I will have them looked into.
