§ Mr. Harold MacmillanDiscussions have taken place with firms which can use waste leather in the production of board material of a type used by the boot and shoe industry, and increasing quantities of waste are being used for that purpose. Experiments are now being made with a view to producing a quick acting fertiliser from leather waste. The uses to which leather waste can be put are at present somewhat limited, but investigations for further uses are proceeding.
