Mr. M. MacDonaldNo, Sir. I am not prepared to introduce such legislation in respect of the superannuation schemes of local authorities, as it would imperil the stability of the schemes affected by it. The scheme for the prevention and relief of distress administered by the Assistance Board is available for pensioners who are in need as a result of the war.
