Jarvisasked the Minister of Health whether the hutment camps built by the Camps Corporation in connection with the original evacuation scheme are being used to their fullest capacity at the present time for the purpose of housing children evacuated from the London area; and, if not, whether he will arrange for these camps to be fully utilised before enforcing further billeting in already congested areas?
§ Miss HorsbrughThe question whether the camps are being used to capacity, having regard to the need for adequate day room as well as dormitory accommodation, is at present being examined by my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Education. Immediate measures will be taken to fill any camp found to have accommodation still available.
