§ Captain CrookshankMy right hon. Friend is not aware of any delays or difficulties, save those attributable to the obvious necessity for making careful inquiries into cases of this kind. As regards the second part of the Question, my right hon. Friend has considered my hon. and gallant Friend's suggestion, but he regrets that it would be impracticable. Moreover, it is, under existing Regulations, the duty of a British resident, even though temporarily abroad, to surrender his dollars to the Treasury, unless he has obtained permission to keep them.
