Mr. David Adamsasked the Minister of Labour whether he will take steps, by issuing a leaflet or otherwise, to make it clear both to employers and to work-people that the provisions of the Factories Act remain in operation and are being enforced, except in so far as relaxations are expressly permitted by the competent authority?
§ Mr. E. BevinAn announcement to this effect was made at the end of last July by a leaflet and in other ways, and I have no evidence that a further leaflet or announcement is needed. Factory managements generally would appear to be well aware of the position.
