Smithasked the Secretary of State for War, whether he will see that, as far as possible, leave is granted fairly to all men serving; what is the minimum and maximum time served that is used for the basis when granting leave; and will he issue a circular to all units in order that there may be a clear understanding on the question of leave?
§ Mr. EdenAfter three months' service, all ranks are eligible for the grant of seven days' leave at such intervals as the exigencies of the Service admit. Full instructions have been issued enjoining that leave is to be evenly spread and that all those eligible should be granted leave in turn, as far as is practicable.
