§ Mr. ElliotThe schemes of additional benefits of a certain number of approved societies were varied as from 1st January, 1940, because on valuation as at 31st December, 1937, it was found that the financial position was not so favourable as at the previous valuation at 31st December, 1932. The detailed information asked for by my hon. Friend is not directly available, and under present conditions I do not feel justified in undertaking the labour and expense of extracting the information.
