BrownThe answer to the first part of the Question is in the affirmative, provided that no suitably qualified British national is available for the employment in question, and that the special permission of the Auxiliary War Service Department of the Home Office has been given in certain cases. As regards the last part of the Question the latest available information shows that permits were granted during January in respect of 1,381 women and girls of German nationality.
