Gowerasked the Minister of Food whether his attention has been called to the high prices for peas and lentils, the former of which before the war were 3½d. per lb. and are now 10d. per lb., and the latter of which were 2d. per lb. before the war and are now 6d. per lb.; and whether he proposes to control the prices in the case of these commodities?
§ Mr. W. S. MorrisonI am aware that high prices are being charged for peas 227W and lentils. The question of price control is under examination, and if my hon. Friend cares to let me have particulars of the cases to which he refers, I shall be glad to see that they are considered.
