§ Miss Wilkinsonasked the Minister of Economic Warfare what guarantees he has obtained from neutral countries which were allowed to import raw materials in excess of their requirements that the surplus would not be re-exported to Germany; and that, in view of the constant pressure upon the neutral Governments by Germany, any guarantees can be relied upon?
§ Mr. CrossThe hon. Member will appreciate that it would not be possible for His Majesty's Government at least without the consent of the neutral countries concerned, to publish a complete list of the guarantees against re-export which have been obtained. As regards the last part of the Question, I have had no reason to suppose that neutral Governments will dishonour their undertakings for fear of German pressure or threats.
