§ Mr. Boothbyasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the Czecho-Slovakia Financial Claims Office has already been established; and, in view of the fact that these claimants have now been obliged to wait for almost a year, whether he will give directions that payments in respect of established claims 221W should be made without further delay, and that the final settlement should be arrived at as soon as possible?
§ Sir J. SimonThe Czecho-Slovak Financial Claims Office has been set up and claims will be dealt with as rapidly as possible once the draft Czecho-Slovakia (Settlement of Financial Claims) Order has been approved by Parliament. It must however be appreciated that the number of claims to be dealt with is very considerable and that they have to be properly investigated.
