Mr. Sorensen

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he has any further information to give the House respecting conversations with Mr. Gandhi and Congress leaders; what proposals the Aga Khan has made to the Viceroy concerning the present political situation; and whether the Aga Khan is acting on behalf of the Moslem League?

There have been no further conversations with Mr. Gandhi or other Congress leaders. With regard to the latter part of the hon. Member's Question I am not aware of any proposals made by the Aga Khan to the Viceroy regarding the present political situation.
