§ Mr. E. BrownThe deer control officer is Mr. H. Frank Wallace, a recognised authority on game hunting and the author of various publications on deer stalking. This officer has no executive powers, his 1171W duties being to advise on questions relating to the killing of deer and the disposal of venison and to assist agricultural executive committees to organise their efforts to minimise damage to agricultural interests by deer. Mr. Wallace was appointed in September, 1939. His duties are part-time only and he receives an honorarium of £100 per annum for his services. It has not been necessary to provide him with any staff, nor does he undertake the disposal of venison.
