§ Sir Smedley Crookeasked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been drawn to the case of an employé in the electrical department of the city of Birmingham, who is a member of the Peace Pledge Union, and who was recently found guilty of being in possession of a German revolver and ammunition without having a certificate; and whether he will institute inquiries into this man's record, with a view to his removal in the national interest from such a vital centre?

§ Mr. PeakeMy right hon. Friend has caused inquiries to be made and is informed that this man stated that the revolver, in respect of the possession of which he was convicted, was a souvenir from the last war in which he served as a member in the R.A.M.C. On the information before him my right hon. Friend does not think that any action on his part is called for.
