§ Mr. Harold MacmillanMy right hon. Friend is aware that there is a shortage of labour in the scrap industry, and he is in communication with my right hon. Friend the Minister of Labour and National Service in regard to the steps to be taken to meet this situation. He is not, however, aware that the agreement between the steel-makers and the federated scrap merchants, to which my hon. Friend presumably refers, has in practice impeded the flow of scrap to the steel furnaces, but if my hon. Friend can give me particulars of any case he has in mind I shall be glad to look into it.
