§ Mr. de Rothschildasked the Home Secretary what liability rests with the Sunday school authorities in the event of a child being injured during an air-raid while attending a Sunday school?
§ Sir J. AndersonSection 3 (1) (b) of the Personal Injuries (Emergency Provisions) Act, 1939, affords cover to Sunday school managers from actions arising from "war injuries," as defined in the Act, which have been received by a child while attending the school. With regard to in juries which are not "war injuries," it is impossible to say what the courts may decide as to the liability of the managers. The managers are not under any statutory duty to provide an air-raid shelter for children attending their school.
