HC Deb 04 July 1940 vol 362 c1013W
Mr. Thorne

asked the Home Secretary whether he can give any information in connection with the running of omnibuses in air raids?

Sir J. Anderson

During the period of an air-raid warning motor vehicles generally are permitted to proceed on their journey if the driver has good reason for doing so; and this rule applies to public service vehicles equally with other classes of vehicle. The issue of special guidance to the drivers of public service vehicles in any particular district is a matter which must be left to the operators of the undertaking.
