HC Deb 04 July 1940 vol 362 c1012W
Sir E. Graham-Little

asked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been drawn to the constant disturbances and annoyance occasioned by the action of certain members of the air-raid precautions personnel in the Harley Street area, details of which have been submitted to him; and whether he will take action to control this body?

Sir J. Anderson

A depot for air-raid precautions personnel cannot be maintained without some noise, which will be audible to persons living in the neighbourhood; but I understand that in the case to which my hon. Friend refers the local authority are taking steps to alter the present arrangements for the parking of vehicles and the stationing of pickets in such a way as to reduce to a minimum the disturbance caused to residents in the neighbourhood.
