§ Miss HorsbrughYes, Sir. In the special cases in which my right hon. Friend has found it possible to approve of the building of houses by local authorities, his approval has been subject to the plans being drawn so as to reduce the amount of timber required to a minimum and, in order to give balanced employment to the building industry, to provide for the use, as far as possible, of all the other materials of which a house is normally built.
