§ Mr. EdenProvision already exists in the British Nationality and Status of Aliens (in New Zealand) Act, 1928, passed by the New Zealand Parliament, whereby persons resident in Western Samoa may be granted certificates of naturalisation by the Governor-General on the recommendation of the Minister for External Affairs. According to the Annual Report of the Department of Internal Affairs of the New Zealand Government, two certificates of naturalisation were issued in Western Samoa during the year ended 31st March, 1939.
