§ Mr. LloydLocal authorities have been informed that their first claims for refund of expenses should cover the period ended 31st December, 1939. The forms on which these claims are to be submitted will be circulated to local authorities within a few days. It is not, therefore, possible at present to estimate the expenditure involved.
