Macdonaldasked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he is aware that many people at the present time are afraid of travelling to and from the Isle of Wight owing to their fears that there may be danger from mines; whether, before the forthcoming Easter, Whitsun and summer holiday season, he will arrange to make sure that the sea route between the Isle of Wight and the South Coast is as safe as possible from mines; and that a public announcement to this effect is made?
