§ Captain Pluggeasked the President of the Board of Trade what is the present policy of the Government with regard to trade between this country and France and whether the intention is to stimulate or stabilise it?
§ Sir A. DuncanI would refer to the answer given to my hon. and gallant Friend on 6th February by my right hon. Friend the Secretary to the Department of Overseas Trade. The Government desire to see as much trade between France and this country as war conditions allow, and discussions have been taking place between the two countries with a view to removing obstacles to such trade.
