§ The Attorney-GeneralThe effect of war conditions on persons under liabilities in respect of their interests in premises is being invesigated by the Committee on Civil Liabilities, and a decision as to what steps should be taken as a result of such investigations will be made shortly. Pending this decision, I am unable to inform my hon. Friend what, if any, further legislation will be introduced to give protection to owners of property in respect of the liabilities he mentions, beyond the general protection afforded by the Courts (Emergency Powers) Act.
