§ Mr. Naylorasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he will take steps to secure that when printing contracts are given out by His Majesty's Stationery Office, special consideration shall be given to tenders received from firms situated in those districts where unemployment is greatest?
§ Captain CrookshankI understand that the unemployment in the printing trade is widely distributed over the country and is highest in the London area. Over 1,000 firms have been added to the Stationery Office list in all parts of the country, and all firms on the list are invited to tender for suitable work within their capacity.
