§ Mr. Manderasked the Home Secretary whether he will give an assurance that, after seeing the working of Regula- 988W tion 39BA, he will consult with hon. Members interested, with a view to the amendment of the Regulation or consideration of some other method of securing the desired result of only sentencing malicious action tending to help the enemy?
§ Sir J. AndersonIn view of the steps already taken, as explained in the answer given to my hon. Friend last Thursday, I do not expect that the administration of this Regulation will give rise to further difficulties in the future: but, if such difficulties should arise at any time, I have no doubt that arrangements could be made for consultation with hon. Members as suggested in the Question.
