§ Mr. Purbrickasked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in view of the fact that the French Government are refusing exit permits to British male subjects of 42 years of age in unoccupied France, on the ground that they are of military age, this Government will refuse to allow any French male 792W subjects to leave this country until reciprocity in this matter is agreed upon?
§ Mr. ButlerNegotiations are proceeding with the French Government on this subject. I hope that it will not be necessary to have recourse to any form of retaliation.
